A downloadable game for Windows
RideTheWav is a 2D rhtythm-flight game where piloting your ship is the musical performance. There are no failing notes and no pre-charted lanes. Fly, Drift, Carve, and thrust to the beat while the game listens to your performance. A Procedurally generated Score creates denser beats as you hit the groove and the screen pulses with you.
This is an early alpha build. The core flight-rhythm loops is playable and some rhythm detection is live.
Main Menu feature: Adjust speed and intensity of the music generator. Basic Motif and theme used( I am no musician yet, so with a better base melody and beat, who knows what can be generated.
Main Features:
Procedural Music Generation(Not LLM) based on simple Motif and Drum Kernel.
Live Synth for music generation and modding depending on gameplay.
Simple Tutorial Onboarding to game control and feel.
Thrust Rhythm Detection and basic scoring/combo counter.
Ship as instrument controller with expressive controls.

Other than tutorial, the gameplay is mostly flying around and jamming in this version. Enjoy!

Note: Menu might not work well with controller, but the ship should function. Still working on full controller support.

Thrust - W
Boost - Shift
Carve - A or D
Extreme Carve(Bank momentum, release for speed and a small riff) - Space
Turn - Mouse
Switch Carve Speed- Q
Toggle Thrust Sustain - E
Toggle Staccato/Legato - Z
Controller:
Thrust - A or Right Trigger
Boost - Left Button
Carve - Top Button or Left Trigger
Extreme Carve(Bank momentum, release for speed and a small riff) - Right Button
Turn - Either Stick
Switch Carve Speed- Left Shoulder
Toggle Thrust Sustain - Right Shoulder
Toggle Staccato/Legato - Dpad Left
